hope與wish都表示“想”“希望”，賓語可為to+動詞原型，不可是動詞的ing形式。hope與wish的區(qū)別為：跟在“hope”之后的動詞可以是過去式、現(xiàn)在式或者將來式。wish作為及物動詞，可接名詞或代詞作賓語，hope則不能。
